BOOOOOOOOM!!!
Leo almost flew away by the force, if not for Caelindra catching his hand as she stood still with a calm expression, staring at the blinding red and green light flashing furiously. The blast howled like a storm of dying stars, yet she didn't move an inch, her grip steady, anchoring Leo from being thrown into the chaos.
Nothing was visible other than just light.... A swirling ocean of crimson and emerald, clashing like two ancient gods tearing the sky apart.
Leo clenched his eyes as he tried to see... he couldn't, as he barely noticed a few things, like the moment the bloody spear tried to approach the castle, it shimmered into pieces. The destruction vanished before it even touched the towering structure.
"It's my shield... nothing could destroy it," Caelindra said with a serious expression as she stared at the destruction that was spreading.
Leo raised his eyebrows before weakly smiling... He was truly glad that he didn't let go of the sword before... if not... he could only see his death!!
A cold shiver went down his spine at the thought, realising just how close he had been to absolute annihilation.
The castle slowly moved forward, pushing Dracula back with furious energy. The earth vibrated under the weight of its advance, debris lifting into the air as mana currents twisted the atmosphere itself.
"ARHHHH!!"
Dracula screamed, trying to stop that thing... but now he had already used his powers too much, and now it wasn't enough to handle this shit.
Crack!
His magic circles cracked, his eyes widened, before, "I really hate that bitch-" before he was hit by the castle.
THUD!!
BOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!
The impact rocked the entire battlefield, sending a final shockwave that flattened anything still left standing. The world trembled as the collision forced silence upon everything around them.
As the light slowly died out, there he was... utterly defeated and broken as his skin slowly burned away like particles that slowly dispersed into the air.
His once powerful figure unravelled into drifting crimson dust, each piece sizzling as it separated from him.
His body shattered and broken, the cracks around his body spread like a web. From it, crimson energy flowed out, dripping like molten blood from a fractured statue.
Leo stared at Dracula before walking towards him. Dracula, who was struggling to keep his body together... yet his healing ability failed!
His limbs twitched, his jaw shaking violently as he tried to reform, but nothing responded.
Why?
WHY?
Just then, his half eyes saw Leo looking down at him. Leo had a pitiful face. That look cut deeper than any sword.
Dracula's face turned furious, 'DON'T YOU LOOK DOWN ON M-' before he could finish his scream inside his mind,
Leo smirked wickedly, "Fuck yeah~ Look at you bitch! Hahaha," he giggled wickedly seeing Dracula finally fucking... finally died!
There was victory, relief, rage, and twisted satisfaction all pouring out of him at once.
Dracula's body shimmered even more.
The cracks widened.
And then—
He began to fade.
Leo ignored him and slowly walked towards the relic. Caelindra gave one last glance at Dracula's remaining body that disintegrated fully.... before following Leo.
His essence blew away like dying embers in a slow wind with lost dying words,
"M-My lord... forgiv-"
Leo stood before the relic, staring at the relic... its ancient glow pulsing like a heartbeat calling for him.
Caelindra stood beside him as she muttered, "You won the war... Leo... what do you want?" Her voice was calm, but something heavy lingered beneath it, a weight of destiny… and fear of the answer.
Leo stared at the relic, his eyes finally holding the relic that meant for him now... sure, it caused a lot of blood, but really, this was indeed a thrill-filled life that he never had before.
The glow of the relic pulsed against his face, reflecting in his empty, exhausted eyes. It felt like destiny breathing softly against his skin.
"Well..." as he was about to touch it when,
Crack...
Caelindra flinched as she turned back and saw... Raphael and her group arrived at the location with battered bodies, confused and lost expressions. Their clothes were torn, faces covered in dust and dried blood. Yet the moment they saw Caelindra standing there alive—
They froze.
"Is that... Pride?" Valra muttered in a confused tone, her voice weak as if she doubted her own sight.
Caelindra walked back towards the group with a small smile, "It's been a while, everyone."
Everyone blinked... utterly confused.
"H-How?"
That's the question everyone had... seeing her normal.
Caelindra shrugged, "I don't know... He called me again and I responded to him," as she pointed at Leo, who was standing blankly before the relic. Her voice held a softness, but her eyes… her eyes said she herself didn't fully understand the miracle.
Everyone was surprised before looking at each other with an amused expression.
"He's really something," Azrael muttered with an amused tone, shaking his head as if Leo were an unpredictable storm that kept breaking the rules of this world.
Raphael nodded with teary eyes as she gave Caelindra a small hug, "Welcome back."
Caelindra raised her eyebrows before smiling and nodding her head.
"What... is he doing?" Suddenly, Essa asked with a frown.
Everyone turned forward and saw...
Leo raised his empty hand in the air like he was clenching something.
His posture was rigid, spine locked, breath frozen.
"What is going on?" Raphael muttered.
Leo's eyes were completely colourless, as if someone had taken control of his body. As he struck his empty hand down with full force—
Simultaneously, back in his home, in his room, the drawer under the table trembled before being forced to open, and a folded paper rose up with shimmering blue particles before shooting towards the sky, piercing the roof and flying toward a certain direction.
Sssssshhhh~
The paper unfolded itself as it etched the words of
<Steal The Arcanum Eidolon!>
And a small lip print on it!
It shimmered before, right at the moment, appeared on Leo's clenched fist, going down as the paper shimmered, turning into... a blue shimmer knife that itched with different kinds of runes in it.
The Paraclythion!
Everyone's eyes widened. Essa and Caelindra shouted,
"STOP IT!!"
But too late,
THUD!
He stabbed the knife into the relic with full force. The shockwave rippled through the stone like a heartbeat stopping,
Crack!
The relic cracked, the already fractured surface broken even more as Leo muttered with an emotionless tone,
"Summon... Singularity!"
BOOOM!
The relic shattered into pieces as the bright blue light emerged from it, hitting both the sky and ground as a huge and magnificent magic circle appeared into existence.
The circle spun slowly at first, then faster, layers revealing themselves like pages of an ancient forbidden scripture, glowing with electric azure runes.
And from the relic beam it came...
A figure…
A feminine figure wrapped in black clothes and a huge hat appeared, her body emerging as though sculpted from the light itself.
Her silhouette formed first... long legs, narrow waist, curved hips like a goddess painted onto the beam. The light clung to her skin before peeling away, revealing her sensual shape wrapped tightly in shadow-woven garments that hugged every line of her body.
The hat she wore was massive, sharp-edged, and decorated with shimmering star-like patterns that shifted whenever she moved. It cast a shadow across her face, but her lips... dark, dangerous, curling upward.
Her clothes were cut exquisitely…High slit on one side revealing creamy thigh, straps coiling around her waist, chest draped but not hidden, every part whispering seduction mixed with lethal intention.
Her cloak fluttered with each step, even though there was no wind, like it moved to the rhythm of her heartbeat.
Shimmering blue eyes glowed with amused expression as she looked at Leo and said,
"Thank you for your wonderful job, my dear~"
Her seductive voice echoed, rolling through the battlefield like velvet laced with venom.
Leo snapped out of his daze and blinked, "W-What happened--" but before he could understand, behind her—
As the beam of light shot to the outside of the space... not only a blue beam but also all over the world, four more colours shot into the sky!
Green!
Red!
Silver!
Violet!
Bursting upward like celestial spears piercing the heavens.
Like a chain reaction, something got activated!
And!
DANGGGGGGGGG!!
A weird sound echoed before... from the huge magic circle... it appeared...
A door?
A magnificent and humongous black-etched skull door appeared slowly, like it was etching itself into reality itself.
The door pushed through the air like it was pushing through thick water... Its surface was adorned with skeletal carvings, ancient runes, and grotesque sculptures of screaming faces.
The skull at the top stretched its jaws open, releasing a deep, rumbling groan that made the air itself vibrate.
Everyone gasped as the sun rose along with the descent of humongous doors appearing all over the world!
The world suddenly looked smaller compared to the colossal doors now blotting out the sky.
The New Era began...
The one filled with nothing but fear and hatred!
And in the middle of it all... Leo would be the cause of everything!
Leo's eyes blankly stared at the huge door before him, almost the size of the twin towers.
Just as he struggled to understand when,
"Everyone, under the Mage Association, you are under arrest!"
Cloaked figures suddenly appeared, stepping out of cracks in space itself.
Then a huge cage fell from the sky, capturing the woman who appeared from the light. She screeched furiously, her sensual elegance twisting into demonic rage, her body thrashing violently as the bars wrapped around her like chains of fate.
Others were captured too.
"Leo!"
Raphael shouted as she saw she was caged along with others, while Leo was handcuffed by those cloaked figures who appeared out of nowhere in... 100s of numbers.
Their movements were synchronised, silent, mechanical—an army trained to capture gods if needed.
Just what's going on?
He thought everything was over!
Yet...
The man who wore a black hat and clothes watched them from far away as he muttered under his breath,
"It's just the beginning, my son..."
As he disappeared into particles.
