MAJOR CHARACTERS
Naci
Naci is a driven young leader from the Jabliu clan, bearing the self-bestowed title of "Khan" with an unwavering conviction. She is fiercely determined to unite scattered Tepr tribes under her banner—sometimes with diplomacy, often with uncompromising force. Determined, resourceful, and ruthless when needed, she inspires both devotion and fear. Her inner circle views her as the fulcrum of their ambition. Yet beneath her charismatic leadership lies an unyielding will that few dare challenge.
"I am no chieftain, I am Khan; may the sky bear witness, and when my time on this realm ends, know that I'll rest among the spirits, having done my duty to unify all under the rising sun."
Horohan
Former heir to Alinkar, now Naci's partner and Khatun of Tepr. She commands respect through a blend of fierce martial prowess and a keen sense of mercy. Flanked by her white tiger, Khanai, she steers her followers with unshakeable resolve—whether in forging alliances or crushing foes.
"Be a god on the battlefield!"
Temej (art WIP/placeholder)
Temej is Naci's steadfast companion and voice of conscience—uncomfortable with the cruelty around him. Born two years her elder, he struggles to reconcile loyalty to the Khan with his own moral compass. Though gentle-hearted, Temej can show fierce courage when defending what he believes right.
"I see a future in your path, and I want to be close to it."
Dukar (art WIP/placeholder)
Drafted into the Moukopl army against his will, Dukar is Naci's older brother. He begins as a mere conscript but quickly reveals sharp wits, moral courage, and a willingness to stand up for others—even under threat from more powerful men. This mixture of boldness and practical thinking draws the attention of enemies and allies alike, leading him into delicate negotiations, acts of subterfuge, and unexpected friendships. Despite living under constant scrutiny, Dukar's ultimate motivation is to safeguard his fellow tribesmen and seek a greater freedom for his homeland.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon."Wreak havoc. It's the Will of Heaven."
Puripal and Ta (art WIP/placeholder)
Puripal: Fourth son of Qaloron Khan, is a prince of the Yohazatz—charismatic, cunning, and forever walking the line between bold aspirations and risky gambles. Wounded and imprisoned at the Northern Wall, he survives only through Dukar's intervention, recognizing in him a kindred spirit with enough audacity to challenge impossible odds. Balancing a genuine concern for his people with a ruthless streak, Puripal maneuvers through court politics and personal rivalries, intent on reshaping Yohazatz for a better future. He is a leader who favors diplomacy yet will not flinch from wielding power when needed.
"History is like a river that has been fed by countless streams. Some are clear, and others are muddied by time and tales. Can we truly claim to know which waters ran pure?"
Ta: The seventh and illegitimate offspring of Qaloron Khan, is the youngest among his royal half-siblings—and often the most volatile. Treated as a disgrace by some and a curiosity by others, he initially appears carefree, prone to mischief and street brawls. Yet beneath the playful banter lies a deep well of anger and wounded pride.
"I'm a bastard, did you forget? I don't have my siblings' privileges."
Kuan (art WIP/placeholder)
Adopted at a young age as an imperial apprentice, Kuan cultivated a cold brilliance. After witnessing betrayals and tasting bloodshed, he embraces his true nature, and an ambition to demolish the empire from within. Torn between cunning court intrigue and the raw power of the steppes, he is dangerously enthralled by freedom.
"These people do not respect sharp tongues, they respect warriors! Simply show them your true strength and they will bow when they hear your name!"
Yile (art WIP/placeholder)
Yile of the Eastern Bureau is a slick, quick-witted, and politically savvy eunuch. He thrives in the court's labyrinth, often at odds with Kuan despite their peculiar closeness. After Kuan leaves for Tepr, his polite exterior masks a ruthless hunger to avenge and gain power.
"We stand at the edge of choices so vast they eclipse any single rebellion. Do you want to die here? Is that your legacy"
Linh (art WIP/placeholder)
Once an idealist cloaked in a prophet's mantle and a war-weary rebel thrust into the very heart of chaos, Linh is hailed as the "Son of Nahaloma," a destiny he first wears like an honor, then gradually as a burden. Daring heists and brazen assaults against the occupying Moukopl authority earn him a champion's reputation; his people, the Siza, see his red hair as signs of divine favor. But it is his unyielding ambition that drives him—an unflinching belief that he must tear down every stronghold of tyranny to build a free world in its place.
"I am truly the one that can change the world!"
