Aísē: My Five Supernatural Wives

Chapter 73: Blood of the Saintess

The group's attention returned to Aisha as she continued her work in the kitchen. She moved with a graceful efficiency as her hands kneaded and folded the dough with practiced precision. "What are you making?" Eleanor asked for the second time, this time more curious, as she originally thought only black mold could be made in the kitchen.

But again, Aisha refused to answer as she smiled enigmatically, "It's a surprise...Just wait and watch"

This confident Attitude made Eleanor more uneasy as she bit her lips in nervousness 'Did I make a mistake, but there's no way a saintess like her can cook, and I can't' she thought to herself with a grave look.

Aisha slid the baking sheet into the oven and set a timer before she turned around to face us. "It should be ready soon," she said calmly. "In the meantime, would anyone like some tea?"

Iris raised an eyebrow, impressed despite not liking how it's turning around herself. "Tea," she repeated her words, "You know how to make tea."

Aisha nodded calmly as she moved to put the kettle on. "I have many talents," she said casually, her voice tinged with a hint of pride.

As the tea steeped, Aisha busied herself with setting the cups and saucers. The rich aroma of the Tea filled the kitchen with a comforting and elegant feel.

Eleanor leaned against the counter, a look of annoyance on her face as she watched Aisha with a critical gaze. "So," she said slowly, "You're not just good at combat and a saintess, you're an expert in domestic works."

As the tea was ready, Aisha prepared to pour it carefully, her hands steady and precise. "Saintess Scholar diplomat doctor...and yes, I can hold my own in the kitchen as well." She then handed Eleanor a cup with a smirk. "Here you go, Eleanor~" Her voice, for some reason, felt mocking to Eleanor.

Eleanor wanted to crash out and throw the cup away, but she held on and took a sip and suddenly...

A look of surprise appeared on her face, making Aisha's smirk wider. But she didn't bother to say anything and handed another cup to me.

"So which tea is it?" I accepted the cup gratefully and asked in curiosity upon inhaling the fragrant steam ." It smells wonderful," I mumbled appreciatively.

Aisha smiled and answered, "It's a special blend of Earl Grey," with a look of pride in her eyes, "Be grateful that I brewed it for you."

I nodded with a smile and sipped on the tea again.

Alicia smiled softly as she got her cup. "Aisha," she mumbled, a look of amazement in her eyes. "I must admit I am impressed."

Elaenor took another sip of her tea, her expression unreadable. After a moment, she set the cup down with a soft clink. "Still," she said with a clear voice tinged with skepticism. "Her cooking will be nothing impressive." The words hung in the air as a clear indication of Elaenor's unwillingness to accept Aisha into their family.

Iris and Alicia exchanged uneasy glances.

'She won't start a fight right,' they thought in worry, remembering the hellish battle of last time.

I frowned slightly, a bit torn between my desire to keep the peace and my duty to support Eleanor.

Aisha, however, remained calm and collected. She met Eleanor's gaze steadily, a hint of challenge in her eyes. "If that's what you think, then" she said softly with narrowed eyes, "Well, see about that."

After saying that, she got back to the oven, checking on her baking dish, the timer dinged just as she opened the door to reveal a perfectly golden brown cake.

"That looks Delicious, I'm being honest," Iris mumbled as she smelled the aroma of vanilla in the air.

"Shush, don't praise her yet," Alicia whispered as she gestured towards Eleanor, who looked like she might explode from disappointment and regret.

Well, she might have thought that only maids could handle themselves in the kitchen.

Aisha turned to face Eleanor a small smile palyed on her lips "Alrigh then Dear Leech princess " she said calmly with a tinge of mocking in it as she used Eleanor's nickname in a insulting way "You try first" she then cut a generous slice of the cake and placed it on a plate and handed it to Eleanor with a flourish "lets se if my cooking is as unimpressive as you claim"

Eleanor gazed blankly at the plate handed to her, not bothering to shout at Aisha to call her like that. For now, all of her attention was on the cake in her hand.

Eleanor hesitated for a moment before she cut a piece with the fork and took a bite. Her eyes narrowed at the taste.

The others watched closely along with me as we saw Eleanor slowly registering the taste in her mouth.

Her expression remained neutral for a while until she breathed out a sigh and sighed, "It's not Bad," she mumbled in defeat and took another bite.

Aisha tilted her head slightly, a hint of amusement in her white eyes. "Ahem," she said curiously, "I didn't quite hear that well. Could you please repeat yourself, yes?"She leaned forward slightly, her gaze locked on Eleanor's face. 'Please say it out loud."

Eleanor's cheeks flushed in anger, but she held Aisha's gaze." I said, "she repeated slowly and clearly this time ."It's not bad. Your cooking, I mean."

Hearing the answer, A small smile tugged at the corners of Aisha's mouth. "Thank you," she replied calmly. "I'm glad you approve."

I let out a breath I hadn't realized I had been holding. Iris and Alicia exchanged relieved glances. The tension in the room seemed to dissipate slightly.

It seems the taste was too good for her to even lie of the taste, as she finished the cake in a few seconds.

This made the others, including me, take pieces for ourselves as we ate the perfectly baked cake.

'Damn! Not even I could cook this well, that's taking into account I was on cooking duty for half of my life,' I thought in wonder at the taste. It was truly delicious. No wonder Eleanor didn't bother to lie about the taste.

"It's truly good, just what did you add to make it like this?" Alicia mumbled as she placed a hand on her mouth, her eyes sparkling in joy.

Iris wagged her tail unconsciously as she took bite after bite of the cake.

Eleanor handed the plate back to Aisha, her movement stiff as she still couldn't handle her own defeat.

Then an idea appeared in her mind 'I can do that' she thought and smiled confidantly and said, "Well," she began with a brisk tone, "Since it seems your cooking is adequate, I suppose we can move on to the next part of the test."

Aisha's eyebrows rose slightly at Eleanor's words, "There's a next part," she repeated, a hint of curiosity in her voice. She set the plate down and turned to face Eleanor fully, her arms crossed under her chest.

"Of course" Eleanor nodded a small smirk gracing her lips "Did you really think we'd judge your worth based solely on your culinary abilties" she paused letting the quuestion hang in the Air for a moment before contuing "no!" she said firmly "the next test will be more Personal" her gaze raked over Aisha's form a hint of challenge in her eyes "Are you preparede for that Saintess"

"I am prepared," Aisha nodded confidantly and asked, "So what's the test?"

Eleanor's eyes glinted slightly in mischief. "Let him drink your blood," she said, gesturing towards me with a casual tone. She observed Aisha expecting her to snap out at the suggestion.

But Aisha's only response was just a slight raise of her eyebrow "I am a sain" she said calmly "I cannot become a vampire like you filthy beings—" Eleanor shook her head stopping Aisha cutting her off " I meant just let him drink" she repaeted clearly this time "No racial cahnge besides Daling" she turned to me "You don't know how to do that right Racial change i mean"

I nodded, a hint of uncertainty in my eyes. "Yeah," I admitted, "I don't know how to do that".

Eleanor rolled her eyes and turned to Aisha, "See, he can't make you a better being like me, so rest assured." She paused and repeated her previous words, "Just let him drink simple enough." She then added mischievously, "Though we'll see whether he likes the taste."

In her mind, however, Eleanor smirked wickedly. 'Oh dear,' she thought to herself, 'She doesn't know that we filthy beings, as she calls us, absolutely don't like the blood from holy beings like saintesses.'

Aisha hesitated for a moment, clearly unsure about the whole test. Still, after A glance at me, who was unconsciously gulping at the thought of tasting her blood, she reluctantly nodded, "Very well," she said softly, "If it's necessary for the test."

Aisha took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She approached me hesitantly, and her heart started beating slightly faster in her chest. thwen With a trembling hand, she reached up and brushed her hair aside, exposing the smooth, pale skin of her neck.

"It's...it's here," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. She tilted her head to the side, offering me access to the delicate pulse point.

Her eyes fluttered closed, a mix of apprehension and resignation on her face.

I stared at the exposed neck before me, my mouth suddenly dry. I glanced at Eleanor, who nodded encouragingly. 'Just do it,' her eyes seemed to say.' It's just a test.'

Slowly, I leaned in, my lips parting slightly as I prepared to taste Aisha's blood.
