“How are you going to awaken my martial path?” Li Yao asked.

She sat on Xiang Yu’s lap, tracing patterns along his chest with her finger.

“It’s a new method I’ve developed. I’m sure you’ll like it,” Xiang Yu said.

The method he had developed was quite simple. He just used his earlier infinite void technique that allowed him to swallow someone and beat them into nonexistence.

He thought to himself that although the divine level Absolute Source bloodline was great, it might not be that useful to someone like Li Yao. It was best to have the Empress make something that fit her perfectly.

[I understand,] she said.

Hearing this, Xiang Yu smiled. He then summoned his system. Just as he was about to start going through the reset stats, he felt someone hug him from behind. He was surprised at first but calmed himself.

[Husband… I—] “I’m scared,” she finished without her authority.

He thought to himself that the Empress seemed to have realized something. When the time came to fight the Sage, if they weren’t strong enough, the Empress might have to merge back into Li Yao, increasing her power but also meaning the Empress would cease to be.

She suddenly let go.

[I’m not scared of that,] she said, regaining her composure before disappearing.

Xiang Yu wondered if she was really okay. As she had told him, the longer one lived, the more scared they were of dying. And Li Yao’s personality was also beginning to integrate into her more and more.
